Coastal Hamptons: Home Inspiration

The “Coastal Hamptons” home is house #2, which we are currently in the middle of planning right now, and hoping to get site works and slab down within a month or so, and then the fun will begin!

I really hate to label these homes, but if I had to label this one in short, Coastal Hamptons style would be it. Even though this home will have a huge Hamptons style inspiration behind it, it will turn out quite different from our previous home (House #1 – Glam Hamptons), which just shows the variety within the style. And of course the Coastal style can have a huge range too, from Nautical to & Boho Coastal.

With this home I’m planning on keeping it very light and airy, with light timber floors, white walls with paneling details, Bianco Carrara marble feature tiles, white shaker cabinetry and rattan feature pendants throughout. And in comparison to our last home, this is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone, but I’m going to have to trust my gut and take on the challenge!

I’ve been having fun creating mood boards on Style Source Book, which is a free website that you can play around with thousands of different products – and not only furniture, but also fixtures and fittings too! I usually have a pretty clear idea in my mind, but when I put it all out on mood boards to see everything come together, it made me even more excited about the direction I am heading.
